Anyway, nothing new...if you know me well then you know I'm updating elsewhere. My LJ account -won't post the link.
Anyway, let's recall what has happened...
school:
had problems with my english paper....failed my first draft...and my sources were always checked out...apparently someone has the same topic as me (IPR and the Internet)...sheesh...
final paper, I had help with my dormmate and friend who both happen to be debate people and so writing the argumentative paper was alright now...though....I changed stands....ehehehehe....without telling my teacher...ehe...he...
exams are another thing. failed every one of them. :D <-- forced smile; internal battle, no, WAR going on inside self.
quizzess at least I get okay...I think...recitation...oh, don't get me started.
lessons or is-anything-entering-my-blank-brain?....no...nothing is entering...I'm a pathetic student who has no willpower or interest to learn...I don't care at all...I try to...but I don't.
Starbucks: I hate them. They are incompetent fools who only sought to profit from all the massive buying that their customers did to collect enough stickers for a planner that just so happened to be ideal, er, nice-looking. It's almost March damn them. They have no sense of decency...making everyone want one and then hording the stocks...or if they are to be believed, running out of them :ahem::hoarding::ahem:
myself...more soon...am lazy

anxious..
Oh, and of course! There is that litte thing about two total strangers calling me in my cellphone having the gall to ask -me- for my name. Hmm....yep, that's about it.
SHH*****************************************TTTT!!!!!!!!!!Frick! I hate this...

today..late post
Had lab exam (zoo). It's the type I hate -a moving exam with only one and a half minutes for each number (total 11 numbers) which has five questions each (and most were on specimens focused under the microscopes situated well apart from each -this is a problem since neither hand-outs nor books gave a clear image on the actual thing and using stock knowledge of when you'd seen it one or two or three[!] weeks before is very difficult...didn't help that I didn't look up some pictures in the net but sheesh those perfect specimens wouldn't have helped much with our not-so-perfect specimens [no offense to the school...hehe ;P]).
Left school. Came to the dorm. Treated myself to a Starbucks (r) Caramel Cream Frapuccino (r) even though I don't deserve it, what with the blanks and all. But I need the sticker. Hehe..XD am desperate for the planner.
Well, whatever. Logging out.

documentation of my xmas break (late post...got lazy..LOL)
22 - 5:30pm.
Left Baguio. On the way to Banaue. 8-hour trip. No way around it. Shortcuts do not exist.
Ride was eventful. There were mountains, potholes, mountains, potholes, plains, fog, potholes, trees-that-made-a-pseudo-tunnel-in-the-dark, fog-that-writhed-inside-that-pseudo-tunnel, fog-so-thick-it-wet-the-windshield-like-only-rain-would, more pseudo-tunnels, less fog, open road, detours, puddles, potholes....too uneventful circumstances...it was all the same (i.e. potholes, trees, plains, trees), only thing new, was mud...and mud...and rain -though thankfully, it was really light.
23 - 00:55
Arrived in Banaue (My mum's hometown). It was frickin' freezing! Colder than Baguio even. My breath had been misting up in front of me (again!), my teeth were uncontrollably chattering. I was totally wrapped up in my scarf (a knitted blue one that is so warm thank God I had it with me) and thin (!) jacket -I did not expect it to be that cold. The labor of climbing up and down the mud-and-stones steps from the road to the house helped work up body warmth though, and once it was over and I was inside, I couldn't help but sigh in relief.
23 –
Big bro's family arrived. YAY! The kids are here! (Aah, there adorable faces and unlimited energy, so peaceful to be with)
Playing with them worked up the warmth again. It was after all still quite cold.
24 –
Spent the day like we were tourists coz as unbelievable as this sounds, we never really did do much sight seeing, always thinking "We'll just do it next year" or "I can already see the fields from the porch!" and in the case of souvenirs...well, we very nearly always end up visiting Banaue hotel where we could have bought stuff (like the "Banaue" shirt my mum bought for me and my y. bro when we were in the lower grades in elementary (Where is that shirt now, I wonder? Hmm...)) and besides, there was my aunt's gift shop below the house anyway -she does dresses too (using the different styles of cloth of the Cordilleras, you know the ethnic ones. Really lovely ya know).
Went to Viewpoint. Got lots of pictures (no time to post right now but soon) and some souvenirs too. Hehehe... XP
25 –
Unbelievable, but true...
As always on Christmas Day, the sun shined through the thick clouds and though it wasn't as warm as you'd expect it to be, at least the cold had gone leaving only a relative coolness to the day that brought out a crisp Sunday morning. Perfect weather. I only regret sleeping so late last night that I couldn't get up and enjoy the sun's warm rays that always touch the porch in the early mornings. Sigh...
26 –
Went to Hapao (dad's hometown) to visit our relatives. The view along the way (it was about roughly 2 hours I think...not really sure, but it was a heck of a long one) was fantastic to look at. My younger bro even took pictures. It really was a kickass view. We even saw the mountain side where my dad was in hiding during the Marcos regime -as well as the side were the almost fell and rolled down (Ouch! That really would have hurt if it did happen).
Dad's relatives were a happy bunch. They even had a good view of their fields (the terraces in Hapao, Banaue isn't the only one ya know) and the river -you could bloody hear the thing even though it was a long way off.
[Getting tired with recalling past events and typing... T-T]
Went to a view deck nearby while the food was being killed cooked. We took pictures once again. Went back and ate. Yummy food, really –even though I’d seen it alive earlier. ;P
After that, some chatting then back to the town again. Spent the afternoon doing nothing and just walking about trying to take good pictures with the cellphone and then with my digicam. Ended up taking most with my phone.
It was late afternoon before we finally got to wake my brother up and go visit the hotel (Banaue Hotel, typical name, eh? ;P ). Aah, the memories of the days we spent there…
The lobby was great as usual. The new thing I’d immediately noticed was the expansion of the souvenir shop. It was covering the half of one side now and not just a corner.
We ate dinner in the restaurant. It still looked the same old, same old. We sat behind a table where once I’d seen a rainbow a couple of feet away from where I’d sat looking out the glass wall. It was spectacular to look at. I’d never seen a rainbow so up close before. And I think I remember me and my brother (younger) having ran to find its end since it looked close to the are where the pool was. We went but no rainbow. I guess we miscalculated. ^^;
Anyway, my brother (older) was complaining how it was always carrot cake that he ended up eating every time he came here before, from when he was a kid till high school an a little bit afterwards. So it kinda ticked him, I suppose when ate and I ordered carrot cake. (LOL XD ) we were a bit disappointed though, since we expected it to be the cake with icing and not just the bread –which it just was. But it still tasted good. Dessert/appetizer was ice cream. Haha! Pistachio with chocolate shavings. Yum!
It was getting dark and started to rain so we all finished our food and left. I spent the rest of the night reading while relatives and friends of the family were outside in the living room singing (off-key but at least not so irritatingly like).

8:30am
It was cold again. So cold. Spent the morning in a packing rush. Everyone was preparing their stuff, including me. I hadn’t pack the night before so I really was in a hurry.
9:30am
Left. Aircon in car…so much…colder…X_x
10:48am
Went past Lagawe town proper…road was covered by fog…
6:21pm
Arrived in Baguio. Home!
And it was cold still! Gah!

my Blog description...
Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.
In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced, nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.
Beyond this place of wrath and tear,
Looms the horrors of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find me, unafraid.
It matter not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll;
I am the master of my fate,
I am the captain of my soul!
~Invictus -Latin for 'Unconquerable'
~it fits, doesn't it? I've been trying to find a poem or quote that would describe why I named my blog 'Captain'...thank goodness my blockmate knew of this. Yippee!

Why one gets breathless...
6 Reasons why one gets breathless when one has their first kiss
- All that anxiety, nerves, impatience, fear piling up as those lips begin to reach yours and when its finally done, of course you feel breathless.
- Neither of you had let up till you really had no oxygen left in you.
- You have asthma, and you just had to choose to be an that dusty storage room/janitor's room/closet.
- You just saw your parents behind his/her back and they're looking straight at you. Begin the hyperventilation (or just gasp. Or maybe or your too shocked, eh?)
- You just saw his/her parents behind his/her back and they're looking straight at you. (Same as above)
- Both your parents as well as his/hers are staring at you. Plus they the kiss was number two. (With that, I say good luck.)
Any suggestions? Thoughts? If you do, leave a comment. ;P
And ignore the fact that I don't seem to be the type of person who makes this kind of post.
Ciao.

If I were the rain…

recognition
Nobody knows who I really am...
I never felt this empty before.
And if I ever need someone to come along...
Who's gonna comfort me and keep me strong?
That's it. No more. :) Now guess.

extend...lunge!
Sigh, hard work on the legs. And I've just come to the conclusion I've known all along...I have very, very little stamina. Walking distances is easy enough. It's just walking but really working my legs in that (en guarde) position and going lower, lower, forward, retreating and again...and again. Sigh...and this without the jacket and foil yet. So sweaty, and I forgot to bring my water bottle. Sheesh...
Hooboy...I am so glad I have an hour and a half break between PE and Fil. And the dorm being so close I can freshen up before Fil. Haha!

-_-
Now two years old, her charming self has grown ever more. Sigh...I miss her already...
Present: Nov. 14 '05 -first day of classes this second semester. New teacher in Lit [looks like our old one pushed though with what he'd said "drop us," I mean -were we that bad, teach?]. New subjects/courses -Zoo (lec&lab), and then tomorrow, PE121 [that's the course code for Fencing (Women) sec. N] and Fil11 and Ma11 -these two because (obviously) I was basic last sem (Fil1...Ma1).
Now: Er, bored...nothing to do so why not post here, eh? ~_^

Was in Baguio...now am not
Haven't posted anything my whole sembreak..haha.
Nothing really happened anyway. Played golf...well, actually we (my y. bro and me) just went to the drive. Once. Got lazy to wake up early for proper games..hehe. Was just informed instead that Ateneo sucked during the annual tournament with La Salle.
Halloween was fun too. :D My cute nephew and niece were so...cute! >.<>The other kids were looking good too. I wanted a face paint dang it..oh well...can't have everything you want.
Hmm...onto my trip to QC. Was able to pack ALL my stuff (one box, four shopping bags full of my shoes and other stuff [folders of shtuff], one big duffel bag for my clothes as well as another backpack, my laptop, three plastic bags of books [this was the kinda-big one] and CDs for the other two...and my laptop...yeah that was it) and did so in just a few hours! Ha! Speed-packing!! I even had another hour to spare before the trip. Bwahahaha!!! XD XP
Now onto today...let's see...found my name on the hold order list...found out it was because of an I.D. violation [what happened was that my I.D. somehow snuck into my shirt when I sat down and I didn't notice it till the guard stopped me in my tracks...I'd thought it had dropped somewhere and obviously the guard didn't believe (**** ***) and I almost gone right back up four flights of stairs when it! peeked out of my shirt and so when I went back to Mr. Guard-in-front-of-the-canteen and explained (lied...it's embarassing I didn't notice it was tucked up my shirt) that I'd found it, he just looked at me with eyes that screamed "Yeah, right!"...sheesh...blasted circumstances! Blasted shirt!!!!]....wrote a letter of apology: *edited* Took it out. All you need to know ish that I shounded pathetic...well, not really...but I don't want this reminder glaring at me. -_-'
****here lay the letter, now deleted for the better*****
...and so I got my confirmation slip...and got my papers in Escaler Hall...my QPI is 2.2...no Ds or Fs...thank goodness...I was actually expecting one...and I'm sure that if my Fil and Math weren't basic I might have had those Ds or Fs....sigh...Good thing that came out of all of this? I didn't have to wait in line...well, in giving my letter I did..but it still was a whole lot shorter than the line in Cov Courts...HAHAHAHA!!!! >:D
Anyway, nothing much to say now...except:
"Dang it! Haven't eaten a thing since 6pm yesterday (during a break on the trip coming here, I mean)."
Time Finished (check the post date...duh) -->Whoa...I type so slowly... -_- sheesh...
excuse my typos if you see them or if there are any. :) I wrote in a hurry.

WoT
Well, God bless na lang sa inyo! :)
Onto WoT [Wheel of Time]...
Now that I've time I'll be reading and devouring Jordan's books...hahaha!!! XD
Also, right now I'm checking out the fan art...which is just wrong for me coz I'll be influenced by it and will no longer be able to draw my own version of WoT characters...sigh...
Oh well, I'll just try my best...and also, it's a good thing then that I've not found any artworks of Rand, and some others (like Nyneave, Elayne...etc)....Actually, I only found a nice pic of Mat and Faile...though for the pic of Faile, I have still my own image of her in my head. :D The one of Mat though...hehe, no complaints on that one. :)
Artist's Site...check it out... Click Here
Later, am on gonna read now.
Launch
HA! I made it to Katips with 30minutes to spare before the curfew!!! Hahahahaha!!
To my kin (if you're reading this): Yes, I know...my studies first and all that. I don't mean to sound bratty here but...I needed a break and my homework's almost done anyway. So chill, alright?
Anyway, about the launch it was okay...I risked getting spoiled (and had in fact heard two spoilers!!! Dang! I could have avoided it, but it was too late... T-T ...oh well, I guess my luck wasn't with me...) but the lure of it all had already chained me since last week so there was no helping it. It was fun still (even with the low attendance...it is finals week after all, and a work day at that).
About the book (Knife of Dreams if you still didn't know...[8- I'm rolling my eyes at those who actually didn't (O_o)] I find the Orbit edition has a better cover for me coz...(you wanna know the truth?) I don't like TOR's art. Sure, it's cool in a way..but..no...it just doesn't cut it for me...but then again, it's just me and its my boat floating here (obviuosly alluding to the saying "whatever floats your boat").
There were two cosplayers at the launch. A Nyneave and Lan...so cool...and I like the sword dude, it was wicked cool. Wish I held it. Oh well. >.<>.< :D
Well, can't say much anymore...too lazy...and I've to finish my papers...Baaaaad me, skipping out on my homework for Wheel of Time...really bad...XD oh well, it's too late to change it! Ha-ha! ;P :)
Later

So many things to do...so much to study for...sigh...
Ooh...my head... >.<
Well..finals start tomorrow..."Finals"...not as daunting as I'd thought...it's actually this weekend that's more of hell...hmm...maybe I won't be thinking that during the exams, eh? /:)
Sigh...I can't wait for sembreak...
I'm beginning to think I'll be like this >> x_x after everything...my brain would be so drained I won't even be able to pack for Baguio...
